“ This project explores the elegant yet confining lines of tradition, luxury, and culture. Though shiny and refined on the surface, the space between these lines can often feel hollow. The spirit within, and the realness it yearns for remain the most interesting (and valuable) elements in the scene. ”

Armonía Home Wellness is a brand based out of Austin, TX. They produce home & body essentials to help you elevate your space. They currently have a room spray, body oil & candle in their collection. These are product shots I’ve captured for them in Austin & during my travels in France & Spain.
“This photoshoot is a visual exploration of the innate luxuriousness of nature. The concept of luxury has long been held captive in expensive spaces of exclusivity. But with some careful thought, and a couple thousand hours on the greenbelt, I've decided that nature is truly the source of all that we find opulent. So how can we hold two estranged concepts together in a harmonious way? This is still an evolving thought for me, and I hope to write about it in depth in the coming months.”

Desnudo Coffee is the best coffee in Austin, TX. It’s owned by two Colombian brothers, Sergio & Juan, who are bringing change to the lives of the people in Austin & Colombia. Desnudo works directly with small family-run farms in Colombia to produce their coffee, removing the middle man & making it a more sustainable process. Capturing their essence & helping them expand awareness around their mission is a constant honor.

Emily Fenves created Lander Line in September 2021 after becoming burnt out with her own consumption habits. As a regular shopper, she found herself spending an exhaustive amount of time browsing, buying, returning, and purging.
She embarked on a journey to learn more about the “why” behind her overconsumption, and decided to help others do the same. Upon her research, she discovered how environmentally damaging the fashion waste crisis is, and became an advocate for change.
Through sharing her personal research with her audience, as well as partnering with ethical brands, change-makers, and non-profit organizations, Lander Line brings insight and hope to those who are inspired to reduce their carbon footprint through their personal consumption.
These images are from a branding shoot which displays different sustainable brands & ethically sourced clothes in Emily’s closet.
These images were taken on a variety of film cameras. They were all developed, processed & scanned by me in a darkroom. The third image is a triptych that was showcased in an art exhibit at the Houston Center for Photography.
